i really coasted by with getting DHTM done in only a couple of months. this one, tho? this one's gonna be The Big One.
#texts.#something something certainly beyond my skill level but fuck it we ball.#DHTM was 'easy' in the way that research was easy because i had ears on the ground. and also i was there. and it was very straightforward#by way of plot and whatnot.#this one's pushing into New Weird territory because it's straddling horror - sci-fi - and spec fic and it's set during the Reagan Era....#so big yikes for me buddy. SOMEONE has to do research and not the fun kind involving antarctic explorations in the late 1890s.#a first draft can probably get done in about two months but it's going to be the barest of bones. a completed decent draft is gonna take#a small age.#anyway it's talking about writing rather than actually writing hours.#TALKING ABOUT IT WHILE I STILL CAN
